Barbury’s Director of Operations and a local researcher colleague conducted field research along the Thai-Myanmar border. We designed and managed a household survey across the two states, managing two large enumerator teams to collect more than 2,100 survey responses in 18 villages. This project worked with the Washington Group Questions to firstly quantify the prevalence of disability within the study communities and then to investigate the key barriers to mobility and access these individuals faced.
